Austria, october 2016

We started our trip in Salzburg, which I’m sure is a lovely city in summer, but was not my favorite in rainy October. From there we drove to Hallstatt, which was lovely even in the rain, and then finally into Vienna—one of the most stressful cities I’ve ever driven through, but also one of my favorites once we were out of the car. We ate our weight in cakes, visited museums and castles, and spent the most incredible evening at the Vienna Opera House watching experimental ballet. Vienna feels so much like Paris to me, and I absolutely loved it there.
