My very favorite spot in all of Paris is tiny Pont Neuf, hidden away at the very tip of Île de la Cité. On my first visit to Paris, in July 2012 with my husband, the riverbanks were packed with people: locals picnicking and swigging from wine bottles, tourists taking in the magic of the Seine in the warm evenings. This year, I showed up an hour early to climb the towers of Notre Dame, so I wandered down to find Pont Neuf deserted, the perfect spot to relax with my viennoise au chocolat while taking in the city I adore.
Paris is beautiful no matter when you go, but visiting in November was the perfect way to see the city without bumping into tourists everywhere. From taking in the sunset from the Printemps rooftop, to walking through des Invalides and Jardin du Luxembourg, to seeing Notre Dame, Tour Eiffel, Palais Royal, Hôtel de Ville like pearls on a string, Paris is magic, and I will always keep coming back for more.
I spent a weekend in Stockholm to judge Pole Theatre Sweden and do photoshoots at STHLMPOLE, and spent a cold Sunday wandering the city. Gamla Stan (old town) is so charming once you get off the most touristy streets, and I love the old architecture mixed with narrow cobblestone streets. Definitely a city I could see myself visiting again some day.
I don’t have the time to write about everything I saw and did in Norway, but here are some photos to sum it up.

The Colorado Pole Championship is hands down my favorite event to photograph, for two reasons. One: I organize the whole event, so I get to pick my shooting location and otherwise make sure I work under optimal conditions. Two: the lighting technician at the Boulder Theater is brilliant, so I always get the most dramatic shots at this show.
Here are a few of my favorites from this year’s Colorado Pole Championship. From top to bottom: Daisy Gaviota (Women’s Division Champion), Lindsay Lithe, Wren Watson, Seanmichael Rau (Men’s Division Champion), Lindsay Olsen, and Julien Miguel.
