About Nina Reed Photography
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me loving life in Boulder with my husband Justin and our two kitties, Luna and Lily. (Yes, they are named after Lovegood and Potter.) Some of my favorite things in life include sweating it out in a hot yoga class, curling up under a blanket with the latest YA novel and a giant mug of tea, finding random things to get upside down on, and getting up before the sun to go hiking. And brunch, because you can never go wrong with breakfast foods and mimosas.
I was born and raised on an island in Norway, which explains both my accent and my viking tendencies to jump into alpine lakes any chance I get. I moved to Colorado in 2010, and have called the mile high state my home ever since.
In 2017, I started a wedding photography business under my maiden name, called Larsen Photo Co. Ever since, my schedule has been filled with weddings and adventurous engagement sessions, leaving little time for pole and aerial photography. As you can probably tell from my social media, I don’t shoot pole and aerial nearly as often any more, but I would still love to work with you!
Work With Me
My style of shooting can best be described as laid back. Instead of telling you how to pose, I let you do your thing – whether that’s a sequence on aerial silks or a grounded yoga flow – and snap away while giving small adjustments like “extend your fingers” or “turn your face up toward the ceiling”. And don’t worry, you do not need to look at the camera and smile!
I want you to walk away from your photo shoot with a smile on your face, which starts with making sure you’re well prepared. I’m happy to help you pick outfits, plan out your poses, and share my insider tips and tricks. And while I try to keep regular business hours, I’ve been known to answer Facebook messages the night before a shoot when a client freaks out about not knowing whether to keep her hair up or down, or if she should wear a black or nude leotard.
If you wanna get together in person to talk about your ideas or see if we have a good vibe before you book, contact me and I’ll gladly buy you a beverage (or macaron, if you’re a sweet tooth like me!) so we can get to know each other.
